Embracing Healing: My Journey Through a Sound Bath and Reiki Session

Discovering Inner Peace Through Sound and Energy


I recently attended a sound bath and meditative session with Reiki. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The instructions said to bring a yoga mat, so I envisioned some stretching, chants, and spiritual guidance.


While there was no “lesson” per se, the guided meditation took me to a place I was not expecting. The theme was sunshine, and every time they spoke of the warm feeling, I was reminded of childhood, playing outside, and being connected to the earth and MYSELF.


The Experience of a Sound Bath


A sound bath is an immersive experience. It uses sound waves to promote relaxation and healing. As the soothing sounds enveloped me, I felt my body relax. The vibrations resonated within me, creating a sense of calm.


During the session, I closed my eyes and let the sounds wash over me. I felt as if I were floating. The atmosphere was serene, and I could feel the energy shifting. It was a transformative experience that opened my mind and heart.


Messages from the Universe


A lot happened in those 90 minutes. But, two of the messages I received feel like they need to be shared:


  1. Even if. Even if they don’t understand. Even if they don’t believe. Even if they don’t support. Even if… keep going. Other people will not understand, believe in, or support your vision and higher purpose. Keep working anyway.


  2. If it doesn’t HEAL you, it hinders you. Let it go. Stop carrying weight that doesn’t serve you. Stop holding onto anger, jealousy, resentment, and other negative emotions. Let yourself heal. You can’t move forward while you’re still looking backward. Period.


Letting Go of the Past


For all my progress and life transformation, I was still feeling tethered to the past and the pain. It is time to let it go. Give yourself permission to set it down. It was never yours to carry.


The Importance of Self-Care


Self-care is crucial for our well-being. It allows us to recharge and reconnect with ourselves. Engaging in activities that promote healing, like sound baths and Reiki, can significantly impact our mental and emotional health.


Consider incorporating self-care practices into your routine. Whether it’s meditation, yoga, or simply taking a walk in nature, find what resonates with you. These moments of self-reflection can lead to profound insights.


Finding Your Path to Healing


Healing is a personal journey. It looks different for everyone. Some may find solace in traditional therapy, while others may explore alternative methods like Reiki or sound therapy. The key is to find what works for you.


As you embark on your healing journey, remember to be patient with yourself. Growth takes time. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small. Each step forward is a victory.

For me, it's not about letting go and putting aside the past and pain but absorbing and accepting it. It will always be a part of who I am and help shape the "me" I've become. With it I can only become stronger and more steady, confident that what I've been thru has a purpose. It DRIVES me. Fuels the love that I now have for everyone and everything I encounter. My faith and God has helped with a lot of that. But, a conversation for another time. :)
