Rituals
Writing and healing both require rhythm. The rituals shared here are the consistent practices that support my creative life– movement, quiet mornings, coffee, reading and the everyday tools that help me return to the page.
Some links shared throughout this space may be affiliate links, included only when they naturally belong to my daily routines.
Coffee marks the transition into my writing day. Weekday mornings begin with movement and quiet preparation, but coffee is reserved for the slower moments — journaling, editing, thinking, and allowing ideas to settle.
Brewer’s Vortex Coffee was created with that same intention in mind: to help people slow down, ground themselves, and begin the day on purpose rather than by accident. It’s the coffee I reach for when I sit down to write or when weekends allow space to move a little more gently.

Wellness, for me, is less about optimization and more about consistency. My mornings begin with hydration and movement before the gym — a way of waking up both physically and mentally before the day asks anything of me. Refueling afterward has become just as important, helping my body recover so I can stay present for writing, work, and family life.
These routines are simple but steady: hydration and energy support before movement, protein and recovery afterward, and skincare that feels reliable enough to use every day without thinking twice. I gravitate toward products that are easy on my body, sustainable long term, and supportive of real life rather than perfection.

Writing rarely happens because of inspiration alone. Structure, routine, and a few reliable tools make it possible to return to the page consistently. I tend to move between analog and digital spaces — planners and notebooks for thinking things through, and Scrivener for organizing manuscripts and shaping longer projects.
These are the tools and systems that help me capture ideas, protect writing time, and keep creative work moving forward in the middle of everyday life. I’ve gathered what I use most often into one place for anyone curious about how I actually work behind the scenes.

Reading is inseparable from writing. The books gathered here are the ones shaping how I think, question, and understand the world — stories I return to, ideas I sit with, and voices that continue influencing my own work.
I keep an ongoing reading list for anyone curious about what’s currently on my desk, beside my bed, or living in the margins of my writing life.
