Aperture or something like it.

Aperture refers to the opening in a camera lens through which light passes to enter the camera. It's like the pupil of your eye—the wider it is, the more light gets in; the narrower it is, the less light gets in.

Have you ever had to squint to see something more clearly? It's sort of like that.

I prefer to think of it as the photography version of "you find what you look for". Sometimes we get so focused on what lies ahead that we forget to see what is right in front of us.

But, perhaps my favorite lesson this week is that you should choose one or the other. Because when you try to focus on everything...

Chaos ensues.
