“9 Minutes” – A Data-Driven Look at Childhood Sexual Assault in America

This presentation was created to raise awareness about the heartbreaking frequency of childhood sexual assault in the United States—where a child is assaulted every nine minutes. Titled “9 Minutes,” the project blends research, statistics, and storytelling to shed light on an issue too often kept in the dark.

The slides walk viewers through the scope of the problem, survivor impact, systemic challenges, and the urgent need for advocacy, education, and reform. This project reflects both my academic research and my personal mission to give voice to survivors and empower change through awareness.
